Senior Privacy Infrastructure Engineer

You will own the cryptographic core powering our end-to-end encrypted messaging stack — a platform serving tens of millions of users across mobile, desktop, and web.

What you'll do
• Design and evolve the key-management substrate (rotation, recovery, sealed-sender) across mobile and server
• Lead threat-modeling work and adversary simulations against the live system
• Drive the post-quantum migration: hybrid handshakes, key encapsulation, and graceful fallback for legacy clients
• Reduce metadata leakage in contact discovery and group operations
• Mentor a team of 4–6 engineers; act as the cryptographic reviewer-of-record for new features

You should have
• Deep familiarity with TLS, Noise, MLS, Signal protocol family
• Distributed-systems instinct — quorums, consensus, partial failure
• Track record of shipping cryptographic code to production at scale
• Comfort owning incident response and post-mortem culture
• Strong writing and architecture-review skills
